Plant growth regulators such as Sea Kelp influence physiological processes of plants at very low concentrations. Many vegetable field crops are grown in plug trays under greenhouse conditions prior to transplanting into the field. The development of a large, robust root system is essential for early plant establishment and allows young seedlings to withstand any number of transplant stresses.

Sea kelp extracts have been shown in greenhouse and field studies to improve root and shoot development of various agricultural plants as well as to alleviate some symptoms typically associated with biotic and abiotic stresses.

Sea kelp contains not only most of the major and minor nutrients, amino acids, and vitamins B1, B2, C, E, but also cytokinins, auxin, Gibberellic Acid, and Abscissic acid. Together these plant nutrients and hormones serve as a signal for plant adaptation to the stressful environments.

Making ACT?

Foods added to a tea brew will select for the particular species that can use those foods.

Want a bacterial tea? Add simple sugars, sea kelp, humic acids, fish hydrolysate.

If a fungal brew is desired, add more complex foods; such as plant material oatmeal, soybean meal, humic acid, fulvic acids which will release bacterial foods after fungi start the process of decomposition.
