Humic acid is applied in many areas of plant production as a growth stimulant and soil conditioner, because as humic materials accumulate in the soil, productivity increases. When applied in an aqueous suspension it delivers humic and fulvic acids, potassium, iron and a number of trace elements ready for uptake by plants.

Humic acid contains auxins which are involved in the chelating of iron and contribute to nutrient intensity as well as the development of a root system. The significance of humic acids is not just limited to its function as a reservoir of mineral plant nutrients and regulator of their cycling,  but also assists as a regulator of plant hormone levels and enhanced stress tolerance.

Humic Acid is a rich carbon source involved in hundreds of chemical equations, including but not limited to making the soil a healthier place for soil microbes, roots, and other members of the Soil Food Web community.
